The window of opportunity in the case of a stroke is only four hours; consequently, the sooner it is detected, the greater the time limit for acting before the attack.
A wearable wristband is being developed that detects a possible stroke based on three variables: blood pressure, muscle tone and changes in the voice. When changes in these three variables are detected, an alert is sent to an on-call neurologist, who confirms the case and launches the Code Stroke.
The project is organised through an agreement with a company that provides the SW and HW, while the FJD provides scientific and technical knowledge related to health matters and biomedical signal processing.
